FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME TO ADVERTISE EACH ITEM?

All items under £25 will initially cost £1.50 per item for the first 30 day listing . This includes the collection, photography, listing preparation , ebay listing fee, general handling and storage. If the item fails to sell after the 1st 30days then there will be a further 50p a month relisting fee.

We charge 30% of the sale price of the item when it sells, this fee is only charged if the item sells.

All items above £25 will initially cost £2.50 per item for the first 30 day listing. This includes the collection, photography, listing preparation , ebay listing fee, general handling and storage. If the item fails to sell after the 1st 30 days then there will be a further relisting fee. The relisting fee differs dependent on its listing value. Please see the table in our FEES AND CHARGES section.

We charge 20% of the sale price of the item, this fee is only charged if the item sells.

2. WILL MY ITEMS BE COLLECTED OR DO I HAVE TO DROP THEM OFF?

It's your choice. you are welcome to bring your items to our premises or we can collect them as part of our service. Our Listing fee published in our FEES AND CHARGES section covers our collection cost.

3. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Once you have decided what you want to sell contact us and arranged either for us to come and collect them or arrange a time to drop them off at our premises. Please call Customer Services on 01797 229649

4. ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?

No. All our fees and charges are laid out and published clearly in our FEES AND CHARGES section. If you do not understand them or require further explanation please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Services on 01797 229649.

5. CAN I CHANGE MY MIND AND WITHDRAW MY ITEMS?

Yes. You can withdraw your items at any time. We will charge you only for the listing fees if they remain unpaid and for any outstanding relisting fees. We do not charge any additional handling fees or cancellation fees.

Once any outstanding fees have been paid

You have three alternatives:

1. Allow us to return the items to you

2. Gift the items to us so that we may relist them at our cost and give the proceeds to Charity. (Proceeds minus our standard fees)

3. Instruct us to dispose of them.

6. HOW CAN I KEEP TRACK OF MY ITEMS FOR SALE?

We produce and provide you with an initial inventory of all the items you have given us to sell on your behalf. Contained within this inventory will be an ebay number which is unique to your item/s being advertised on ebay. This enables you to see each item on ebay. We provide a monthly statement/invoice including an inventory which indicate all sales and costs so that you can keep track of all your sold or unsold items.

7. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM/S DONT SELL?

Although Ebay reaches out to over 300 million people across the world each day surprisingly not all items sell first time round. We will always encourage you to persevere and continue to advertise your items with us for at least 6 months. We have designed our fees to be economic enough to allow this.

8. WHO DEALS WITH THE SHIPPING AND IS THERE ANY FURTHER COST TO ME?

We deal with the entire sales process including the shipping to the successful buyer. There is no additional cost to you.

9. CAN I USE YOUR SERVICE BUT KEEP POSSESSION OF MY ITEMS?

Yes you can. We do not insist on removing your items from your premises if that is your wish. It is rare for our customers to request this but it does and has happened on several occasions. In every instance it has been when we have been instructed to sell very expensive and or personal possessions such as jewellery. We will discuss the logistics and details with you at the time. We do not in general charge any more for this change in our standard practice.

10. WHO VALUES MY ITEMS?

We ask you at the time of collection or drop off to provide us with an indication of what you would expect to achieve for each item. We will offer our advice and normally use ebay as a valuation tool

11. ARE MY ITEMS STORED SECURELY?

All items are securely stored at our premises. In addition they are fully insured against loss and accidental damage, including fire.

12. CAN YOU SELL ANYTHING?

We can sell a very wide range of items. Please see our WHAT SELLS section for more details of prohibited items that we cannot sell

13. DO WE SELL ITEMS UNDER £25?

Yes we do sell items under £25. We do not prejudice any item no matter what its value, and have a special fee category for low value items under £25. In certain circumstances and where possible we normally encourage you to bundle items together to make the lot size exceed £25
